Sk8 Asylum

There's this new indoor skate park in east Mesa called Sk8 Asylum. It should be open to the public this weekend, they are trying really hard to get it open Saturday at noon. The park is super fun, it as a fun street course with a big 6, two up ledges and hubbas and a euro, the park also as a mini with a spine, a half pipe and a sick bowl. The park is located on Pecos west of Elsworth Check out their website www.sk8asylum.com

Anyways, Wednesday night and tonight I went out there to shoot some photos so they could up date the site with park photos. Last night they had a open session with shop teams and Absurd clothing so I shot a few seqences and when I say a few I mean a lot, but I only edited two of them because I'm lazy.

Tonight, I went with Andrew Crawford and Alex Clark so I could shoot some photos of the park for the site when there aren't 100 people there. Even though it was a private or closed session, there was still some cool people there. Nick Fiorini called me a few mintues after I got to the park asking if he could come out, and Laura told me he was always welcome to come skate so he came out with a few friends and skated and shot some photos.

I stood in the same place for an hour and a half shooting sequences and got probably 10 sequences, but I don't have enough time to make all of them, some day I will and I'll post them on here for your enjoyment.

Sunday sunday sunday

Today was pretty fun. I made plans with the Tempe park kids to go skate in Phoenix this week but I woke up this morning to a text from Mike T about going to Sk8 Asylum today because UBF got invited so I had a hard choice to make, but I didn't want to ditch the tempe kids so I decided to go with them.

We went out to Phoenix and made it out to 4 spots and 2 of them we got kicked out of, super lame. I guess there's this new law in downtown Phoenix where you can't skateboard at all between 7th street and 7th ave, and between Lincoln and Fillmore. We were going to skate this awesome tree gap but when we got there someone was already skating it, so we were waiting for the guy to get his trick but somebody called the cops so we got the boot before we even got to skate it. Oh and I got a ticket at brick 8, but I got to shoot some photos so it was still fun.

Saturday stuff

Today I went out to Phoenix with Derrick and met up with Dan, Gustavo and 2 friends of his. We went to the 10 school rail for Gustavo's friend to skate it and the guys from Real were there, they were just packing up, but he started skating it, so the Real team photographer set up again real quick and shot photos of him, so I didn't get a chance to, no biggie it was cool watching him. After the kid got his trick we took off to another spot, but got the boot, the whole day was pretty much a bust, expect Derrick got a trick. Hopefully tomorrow will be a productive day.

I no longer have wisdom teeth

and I have coral in my mouth, yes coral like the stuff in the ocean, I guess they can make fake bone outta it. So yeah, I got two wisdom teeth pulled and two "bone graphings" done, it where they give you fake bone for implants if you don't have enough bone for strong implants. And all I got to say is, the hype of getting your wisdom teeth pulled is a joke! I didn't feel any pain from my wisdom teeth extraction, it was all from the fake bone and I barely felt that, but probably because I was on vicodin and eating soft food for the past 4 days.

Anyways! I stopped taking the vicodin yesterday, so I was able to go out and actually do something today. Andrew and I met up with Zak, Caleb and Eric O. Here are some photoz.
