December 5th-6th

Hey everyone, time for another update.

Not this last weekend but the one before, John, Tyler, Nick, Jason and Dustin came out to AZ for a couple days. I got out of school on Friday after 3rd hour to meet up with everyone at Freestone, we rode Freestone for like a hour until they all got over it, then I introduced them to one of the most amazing things Arizona has ever experienced, no not sunsets, its Jimmy and Joes pizza, so we all grubbed on some J&J , then headed to Tempe and met up with Lil Jon, Kai, Alex, Taylor, Miranda, Charles, Dalton, Andrew and Conor, so we had a pretty good group of people, like 15 people there, 14 scooter riders then me, lol. Anyways Jason was killin the 7 foot (estimating) by the nine stair, so I thought it was a good opportunity to pull out my camera and take some pictures.

So after we rode tempe for a little bit more, we went to Wendys, where I was getting blamed for spitting spit balls at people when it was totally John and his awesome disguise of a cup with the hole in the bottom for a straw. So after getting kicked out of Wendy's we headed to Pecos, where 3 more kids met up with us. Stephen, Dane and Sergio were there so I talked to them for a bit, then shot some more photos of Jason noseblunting the bowl at pecos.




So after everyone was done at Pecos a lot of them wanted to go back to Tempe before it closed, so when everyone went to Tempe to ride for 20 mins, Me, John, Nick and Tyler went to First Friday in Downtown Phoenix, and met up with Rachel and Eric and we saw Zac and Barbie to, so we chilled there for a bit. Then me, John, Nick and Tyler went back to my house in Chandler, and watched Burl Factor, and played Guitar Hero before we crashed.


Saturday-
On Saturday everyone spilt up. Since Jason and Dustin stayed at Dalton's house, Dalton dropped off Jason in the morning, and picked up Tyler, so Me, Jason, John, and Nick all went some where, then Dalton, Dustin, Charles and Tyler went some where esle.


We decided to go out towards the west valley to ride, so we picked up Eric O, one of my skater friends, and met up with Alex, Taylor, Lil Jon, Bret, Sean and Kai at Union Hills, where we also met up with Zac, Dane, Stephen, Mason, Sergio and Nick. When we got there Zac was getting crazy on the spine with a nollie back big spin noseblunt rev out. Then Jason was getting pretty gnarly on the channel gap there. Unfortunately Jason got in the way of some local and the local called the park ranger and we got kicked out. So Me, Eric, Jason, John, Nick, Alex, Jon, Kai, Taylor, Bret, and Sean went to Peoria, and got kicked out in like 30 mins but that gave Jason enough time, to Front Lip the ten rail.



So we hung out for a while in the parking lot waiting for Chris and Zac to get to the park so Eric could skate with them, after Me, John, Jason, and Nick went and got some food, then went to White Banks for a little bit, Jason was doing barspin, to salad on the rock. I shot a photo but you can't even see the bank but ill post it anyways.



After White Banks we went to Skateplaza for one last session.

After skateplaza Conor's mom bought us Peter Piper, good end to a fun trip.

After I dropped everyone off at Tempe, I went to Pecos with Stephen, Sergio, Dane and Caleb and we had a nice Hot Chocolate sesh at 7/11.

Super fun weekend.

I gotta go to school now, but I have another update to make when I get home.

Flagstaff Trip

So I failed at updating this. But this time i'll try to keep some update going, like every other week or so.

A couple weeks ago, Stephen, Dane, Nick, Sergio and I decided to take a trip up to Flagstaff for 2 days. We left on a friday around 2pm, and go to Flag around 4. And our first stop was this awesome pool like 30 miles outside of Flag in the middle of no where.

Anyways, so we skated the pool and roamed around for a little. And shot some group photos....


After that we went back into town, got some grub and skated like two spots. Then we went to NAU to say Hi to Stephen's cuz, which turned into a mission to find the freaking dorms. After asking 5 million people, me getting mad and running back to my car after parking at the wrong dorm and driving on a sidewalk we found the dorm. So we chilled in the dorms for a little bit, had candy and watched gang shows on the history channel. Now we had a opportunity to stay at these dorms but we decided to go back and camp at the pool.

So we left NAU, went to Walgreeens, go some water, az tea's, snacks, and stuff for smores and drove back to the pool. Now let me tell you, it is soo creepy pulling up to that pool at night. We got to the pool, started up the genne and got the lights up. We looked for fire wood to start up a little fire while we were going to skate. So we got the fire going, then started skating, and I'm just going to say Stephen and Nick were throwing down, Stephen got a back slash on this pool and thats crazy because this pool is very very very hard to skate.

So after awhile the genne started to give out and we were forced to stop skating, so we went a got more wood for the fire. And if I forget to say earlier, when were first got there that night Nick pushed a tree over, awesome. Anyways, we got the fire going, made smores, and chilled for a bit. After that everyone attempted to fall asleep around 2am, but 2 times that night we had to cars, pull off the freeway and stop by the camp so we would get all alert and crap, anyways, while Nick, Stephen, Sergio and Dane attempted to sleep outside, I tried to sleep in my car. But I barley slept at all like seriously, I got like 3 30 minute trails of sleep and thats it. Dane didn't sleep at all I guess and Stephen barley did to. I think Nick and Sergio were the only ones who slept the longest. Around 5am I gave up on trying to sleep and drove to a rest area to use the restroom haha, then watched Dane skate a pool in the dark with a flashlight, and then Stephen shot a sick sunrise photo of Dane skating. So after that we decided to pack up and leave to go back into town around 6:30, we got back into Flag around 7, and ate at Dennys, where Dane got free food, lucky, then we went to a skatepark then found out we were really tired and got over it and drove home.

It was a really fun trip, It was a really great experience and the memory's are going to be sweet. We got back into Phoenix around noon on Saturday and I didn't sleep until later that night, So I had no sleep for like 48 hours. Nice.

I've been meaning to make one of these

So I've been meaning to make one of these for awhile now and I finally got to it. Since this is my first post I guess ill explain myself. I'm Shelby, I'm from AZ, I was born in Utah and miss it a lot. I'm a photographer, and I skateboard and ride scooters. I made one of these blog's just to kinda blog about what I do during this point of my life, so in a few years I can look back at this and see what I was like. I guess I'll post some stuff that's happen over the past 2 months and I'll post a new blog every week after this one.



So these past 2 months I've made a really big change in my life. Ever since the beginning of this school year I was thinking a lot about my faith and I was really confused about a lot of it, and on September 12th, 2008 I was saved and now I live my life for God. Proverbs 3:5-6 (5)"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding." (6)"Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you what path to take." Those verses made me understand that God has a path for me and I should follow it. I've been through a lot of crap for years and now I really do understand a lot of things I didn't back then.

I was in my first car accident on August 28th, 2008, on the 101 north in Chandler, AZ, I rear ended a Xtrea and they didn't even take my information they just told me to not worry about it and they dipped. I didn't have to make an insurance claim and I didn't get a ticket either. It costed my dad $2300 to fix my car.

Those 2 events were probably the only big one's I had happen these past 2 months.

I went to Tucson for my first skate trip too with Jonny, Stephen and Sergio. It was fun.

So last weekend was pretty sick, on Saturday, Stephen, Zac, Sergio, Caleb and I made a day trip down to Tucson. It was really fun, we went to a lot of spots and got some footage and photos.

Then on friday I had a half day and it was the start to Fall Break, so Eric, Stephen, Nick and I had a nice session at Tempe then went and watched 3 amazing skate videos at Stephen's then had a nice little Alma School banks session then Me and Eric went to Tempe and skated with Dfed for a bit then went to Dane's for a flat bar session and made a montage. Then after that I had a nice little late night session with Stephen, Nick and Sergio.

On Saturday, we decided to go to Tucson again like seriously it was probably one of the biggest last mintue sessions ever, I found out about it at midnight, asked Twan if he wanted to go at like midnight then the next morning, Alex happen to be on AIM when I woke up and I asked if he wanted to go, it was very last min. So Alex, Twan and I drove down to Tucson and met up with Stephen, Zac, Ryan and Caleb and we skated/scootered, City Hall, Colored Ledges, quarter pipe in a ditch and Super Ditch. Twan threw down, he did the 11 stair handrail at City Hall, flaired the quarter pipe in the ditch, then died at Super Ditch, it made my day I'm not going to lie lol.

and now today is Sunday well on kind of Monday while I was writing this and I really didn't do anything all day expect go to Pecos and shoot this photo of Matt front lip sliding the big bowl at Pecos.
