Summer 09

Well Summer has officially started. This last week was pretty calm. Nothing to intense, I had to take 5 finals but they were a piece of cake. Now summer has started and a week from now Me and Caleb will be on our way to visit Stephen and Zac out in Cali for about a week. I'm really exicted for this summer, going to Cali, Yearbook Camp, and Orcas Island. I'll try to keep this updated a lot this summer so look forward to it.

Here are some photo's i've shot the past couple days.

Almost done

Summer is fast approaching for me. I two regular school days left and two Final test days. All I can say about this last school year was how fast and how fun it was. It was really the first year I acted myself in all my classes, I put myself out there instead of being the one who doesn't talk. I experienced a lot of life changing things this year. My favorite class this year has definitely been yearbook, I've been on the yearbook staff every since freshman year but this was the first year I was in advanced yearbook, instead if going on to be an adv. staffer I took photojournlism in 10th grade to become a photographer, I was a year behind everyone that was in my beg class but it sure didn't feel that way this year. Now that this year is over and all my Senior friends are moving on to College it scares me to think how a year from now i'll be the one who's moving on, its scary to think about but i'm really pshyed to become a Senior, finally.

Anyways, this week has been real easy. Shot some photos.

This summer is going to be awesome, three long Cali trips and Washington. Can't wait.

Spontaneous California Trip

So last Friday morning I get a call from Stephen and he asked me if I wanted to go to California for the weekend. Of course I said yes but I automatically got bummed out because I knew I wouldn't be able to go because my Dad wouldn't let me but after bugging him about it for an hour, he finally let me go. Once school got out, I rushed home and packed, then picked everyone up, and before I knew it I was on my way to California with Stephen, Nick, And Britt. We left Stephens house in Tempe, around 5:30 and got in to Newport around 11, so it was a 5 1/2 trip, not that bad. The first place we went was Dough Boys aka best doughnut shop on planet earth. Then about an hour later we met up with Bwall and Eggy, thinking we we're going to go shred for only an hour or two, but it turned into a late night, early morning session. We went to this handrail outside a movie theater and had to wait like 2 or 3 hours to skate it. So I guess Eggy finally got his shred on the rail at like 4amish, I don't remember I was half asleep during the whole thing. After Eggy got his trick we left around 5:30ish. Before we headed to where we were staying we made another Dough Boys run. We got to stay at Chris's cousins house in Laguna Hills which was 20 minutes south of Newport, It was nice because she was in PHX for a wedding so we had the whole house to our selfs. We ended up getting there around 6am, the sun was already rising haha. We finally went to bed probably around 6:30.

Saturday we went skating with Carney around 2, met up at Costa Mesa park, then skated a few spots around Anaheim and Fullerton, then after that Stephen, Britt, Nick and I went to Huntington Beach and Watched the sunset.

We got some food after then heading back to the house. We just chilled for the night, cruised down to the Albertson's that was down the street, then hung out in the hot tub, and to finish out the night we watch Twilight haha.

Sunday was our final day in Cali before we had to leave to go back to PHX that night. We ended up skating with a lot of people, Carney, Bwall, Eggy, Tom, Sumner, RJ, and Shane. We went to this high school where we met up with everyone, then headed out to the 405 ditch for Stevie to shoot an AD photo with Sumner. After the whole session, we got some food and dipped back to AZ. We got in around 12, but I didn't end up getting home till 1 because I had to drop everyone off. I woke up the next morning at 6:30am for school, but it was worth it.

Here are some photos from my two disposable camera's from the trip.

Last week.

I went to Cali this weekend and that deserves a different post because how random the trip was but anyways here's what I did last week.
Um, I just chilled out for the week, went to Pecos like twice and learned two new tricks and starting getting close to a couple other. Went to Pump It Up with my yearbook class and went skating with Andrew on Thursday and shot a photo.

3 more weeks.

I have 3 and 1/2 more weeks of school left. We don't do anything expect party and take finals during the last half week of school so it doesn't count. This also means I have 4 weeks to save up for my first California trip of the summer, which means I have to work a lot. Anyways, this week was pretty chill, skated Pecos a couple times during the week. Found out that I can get closer to fakie heels than regular ones, and its not fun when to get hit in the face with your board because you can't kickflip right. Haha.

I went to Tucson on Saturday with my friend Andrew and we met up with Eric Hill and some other guys. Shot a lot of photos and they turned out pretty good. I'm pretty psyched that I'm starting to shoot with a lot of good people. I'm starting to notice how my photography is progressing.

Photoz

So I shot a couple photos during the week and I wanted to share them with you guys, or at least the one or two people that look at my blog. I found out i'll be the featured photog for AZ Steez skate magazine for the September/October issue, so I have now till August 1st to shoot 5 pages worth of photos, I won't be posting some photos for awhile, probably the only photo's you'll see till that issue comes out will be park photos or photos I don't think meet my expectations for the mag. So enjoy and look for future updates!

5 more weeks

Summer is just around the corner. I can smell it. Its coming quick, in yearbook we are making the end of the year slide show already, Prom is on Saturday and I'm already doing Senior stuff for next year. Crazy on how fast this year has gone by.

Anyways, I've been pretty busy these past couple weeks, having my friends come in town a couple times and just been real busy and now i'm starting to chill for a few weeks before summer starts.

Last week or two weeks ago, i don't remember, anyways, Zac and Chris were in town for the PHXAM, Chris wasn't skating it but Zac was. So pretty much all last week I was hanging with them.

The PHXAM was fun, Me, Rachel, Stevie, Ninette, Britt and Sergio went the first day, Zac didn't do to well but at least he was there and made an appearance. After Zac's second run we left with some of the Ergo and Untitled guys and skated a few spots then went to the warehouse and called it a day. Sunday was pretty fun as well, we didn't end up going to the last day of the PHXAM, instead Me, Stephen, Rachel, Zac and Chris went skating. It was pretty fun, ended up having a broken tail light thanks to Zac and an orange. Later that night we chilled at the Weigele's and went to In and Out and I didn't end up getting home until like 1am.

Last weekend we had a three day weekend because of Good Friday, so on Thursday night I went skating with Matt and my friend Andrew, he's an AJ local, and he kills it, he rides for UBF.

It rained this weekend and I'm not gonna lie, it was pretty nice. Pretty much just chilled with everyone this weekend. Pretty fun.

Also, I got a new hair cut last week. I like it a lot.

Welp, that's about it.
