First Week Done

So the first week of my Senior year was pretty cool. I love all my classes. Non of them are dull and boring. The only thing that sucked was I have P.E. first hour so that means I get to run around and get all sweaty then I get to go to class feelin icky. It probably won't be that bad, I think the only reason why it sucked was because the AC wasn't really working in my classes so I never really got the chance to cool off. I like PE, its fun and it wakes me up in the morning. I'm really starting to like getting out at 11:33 every day. The first couple days I was kinda confused, I felt like I needed to go back, like the school day wasn't done for me, but I'm' getting used to it, its cool getting home around the time I used to wake up every day this summer haha.

So I guess I'll update you guys on a few things, I finally got a new car. It's a 2005 Mazada Tribute, my Dad is driving it to AZ from Utah has we speak, it was my grandparents car that they let me Uncle use and then they sold it to my dad.
Here's a picture

Other than that there's not that much going on, I'm going to ASR and Crossroads at Black Box trade show in San Diego in a few weeks, its going to be rad. I think I'm' going to Newport Beach for a day so I'm excited. I'm definitely going to get a crap load of Dough Boys for the ride home.

Now its the weekend, I'm probably just going to do what I usually do on a weekend, skate. Here's a few photos for you guys.

Goodbye Summer 09

Yup. It's that time of the year again...school. I go back to school tomorrow. This summer has definitely been a good one. Made a couple California trips, went to Washington, made some new friends, lost some old ones, got old friends back, realized a lot of things and experienced a lot of new things. This blog is just to look back on some of the things I've done this summer. So lets do this.

Um I'll start with shooting with the UBF guys. I started skating with the UBF guys in like April, but didn't really shoot with them all the time until like late May, I started skating and shooting with Derrick, Eric and Andrew a lot, then I met Cody, Tommy and Dustin. So pretty much all summer I've been shooting photos of these guys and I'm really glad I met them because they are all amazing skaters and helped produce a lot of good photos. All summer we have been shooting for the UBF shop drop collage for AZ Steez, and my photo feature for AZ Steez. And that hasn't came out yet so I can't show you the photos, but I'll include those photos some where in this post.

I shot a lot of skateboarding over the summer, so here are some of my favorites that I'm not using for my Photo Feature and the UBF collage.

For better blogs on the Cali trips, go father back into my blog and you'll see them. I went to Orcas Island this summer to, it was soo fun. Check my blog for that to.

That's really all I can cover right now since I already covered most of it.

I'm real excited for my last year of High School its going to be super fun and i'm sure life changing. I need to go to bed. Enjoy!!!

Tucson

So today, Derrick, Andrew, Dan, Marcus and I decided to go to Tucson because we haven't been there all summer. So I woke up around 7, got ready and picked up Andrew, got some food then picked up the rest of the guys then was off to Tucson around 10:45ish, we got there around 12 so it didn't take that long. On the way to Tucson we were trying to figure out where to go for the first spot, so I mentioned colored ledges and Marcus was like "yeah! those f-ing things" and he kept on calling it "The Thing" so from now on that spot will no longer be known has the colored ledges, it will now be known has "The Thing". We made the mistake of going to that spot with out wax so we left and we went to downtown and tried to skate, but I guess the whole downtown/court house place is a bust now because we got the cops called on us for skating the court house court yard thing, lame. So we left and got some wax at this Asian food market place that smelt like crap and went to a 8 stair hubba at a church, the same place where Malto does that 50-50 down that huge rail in his And Now part, that rail is sooo big its not funny, Malto is a beast. After that, we headed back over to "The Thing" and shot some photos and got some footy. Then since it started to get dark we headed over to downtown one more time to try to get some footy. After being successful in downtown we got some drinks then headed back home. The ride home was funny has heck, we pretty much spent the whole time prank calling every famous skater that we had phone numbers of, sooo funny haha.

Here are some photos from today

Derrick Lines
Derrick did a backside flip over this bump like 5 times. It was funny we couldn't skate the thing during the day, we got kicked out twice trying it but we come back around 7 and its cool haha.

Its been awhile

Its been a few weeks since I've last updated this thing. So here's a little update.

A couple days after I got home from Cali, I went up to Washington for 9 days. It was super fun. I flew up there on July 10th and spent the day in North Bend with my Dad and his girlfriend. Then on the 11th (Saturday) we left for the annual Orcas Island trip. We go up there the Saturday after the 4th of July for a week with all our friends from Washington. Its rad we have this row of cabins right on the beach so its our our little area. My family has only gone for a few years so we usually get a cabin up on the hill and this year we rented the "Farm House", it was sick, it had like 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, eating area and living room, it was literary a house. It could sleep like 9 people because it had a couch and futon to. But next year we are finally getting a cabin in the row so instead of having the last 5 cabins in the row of cabins on the beach we'll have six, that's out of 12 cabins so we basically have taken over half of the row of cabins haha. We have a bunch of people in the group, some of us take up boats to go fishing in and just to cruise in and that's always fun. When we aren't out on the boats we are rather playing cards, at the lake, in town or just chillin, its super fun. This year we didn't go out on the boat has much because Bill's boat broke down twice and his boat is usually the one we take out, but we got to take it out twice so it was fun. We went to the lake a couple times to go cliff jumping, the cliffs and tree's where we jump from are across the lake we walk about 3/4 of a mile to get to them, one time Nicole, Sean and I decided to swim across, its probably half mile to 3/4 of a mile, I didn't enjoy swimming across it but it was fun and a good work out I guess haha. We went to town a lot to, we went almost every day and got gelato and stuff from the store. We played a lot of Volleyball as well. But probably one of my favorite things about Orcas is the dinners, we eat a grip of food, its sick, we eat good to, after eating like we do for a week, you don't wanna stop. Another favorite thing is chillin by the fire at night, we eat dinner around 9 because the sun doesn't go down till then, so usually right after dinner we'll get a fire going right off the beach and just hang out for hours, talking about random stuff, watching the stars, making smores, we won't go to bed until like 12 or 1, its rad. So the week rolled by pretty fast, the 18th came around and we took the ferry back to main land and that night I was back on a plane to AZ, I was bummed, I love Washington.

Here are some photos from my trip-

I've been home for a about 2 weeks now. I've been skating a lot, trying to enjoy the last of my summer because I start school August 10th, 11 days away, I'm bummed but excited for my Senior year. Stevie came back from Cali so its been fun skating and hanging out with him, July 28th was his and Britt's birthday so we went to Peter Piper, Pecos and bowling for they're birthdays, it was fun. I've shot a couple skate photos since I've been home, check them out..

Enjoy.

cali cut short

We had to leave Cali 2 days early because Eric got mono, pretty bummed about it but sleeping in cars and paying $80 dollars for a hotel every night wasn't a very good idea. Other than that it was really fun to get out there and hang out with everyone before every one leaves for tour. Anyways here's part two of my 2nd Cali trip of the summer.

On the third day of the trip we met up with everyone at Ocean View high school in HB so the guys could do some filming and stuff, then we went and skated a couple other spots then the guys took off for some 4th of July party, so Caleb, Eric and I went and mobbed around Newport and Huntington and people watched and had a perfect seat for the fireworks on the PCH. Then after that we met up with Stevie and went to Laguna Beach again and found top of the world, it was pretty cool. Then after that we took Stevie home and slept in my car.

The fourth day was pretty cool, we woke up and went to church, then got food with the guys and then we went to Belmont 9, seshed it up for a bit, then went and hung out for the rest of the night. Dillon, Zac, Caleb, Steve, Mike and I took the golf carts out to Wendys and on the way out we started getting gnarly and ended up getting pulled over because someone called complaining about "drunks on golf carts" haha. After we got back I got the bad news that Eric spilled the beans to his parents that we slept in my car for two nights and he got sick so his Dad told me I had to take Eric home the next day. I wasn't very happy considering the fact that it wasn't my fault Eric got mono and it wasn't my responsibility to take him home early because we agreed to stay there till Wednesday but I did a nice thing and decided to take him home the next afternoon. So the for the rest of the night we hung out in a our hotel room with Britt who just got to town.

The 5th day, I had to wake up at 8 to go take my senior pictures with Stevie, so I did that, then went back to the hotel, checked out then went to the RVCA warehouse and did some shopping, thanks Carney!!! After words Eric, Caleb and I were on the road back to AZ, the drive took for ever and it sucked because my car over heated half way through the drive because it was in the middle of the day in the hot summer heat in the Cali/AZ desert, but Eric's dad told us we HAD to leave by noon so I did, that caused us to have to drive 80mph with the windows down with the heat on, not fun and not good for a sick kid if you ask me. Anyways, we got home around 6 and I went and hung out with Matt for rest of the night. Oh yeah, I didn't even have time to take care of the "fix it" ticket I got so now I have to go back to Cali before September to take care of it, SICK!

So yeah, not doing that again, thank god Matt, Nick and I are going back in August to make up for the disaster this one turned into.

Going going back back to Cal Cali

So yesterday morning me, Caleb and Eric left around 7am for Cali. The drive was pretty good, only took about 5 hours, we took a new way, instead of going around Riverside we took the 60 all the way to the 57 through Riverside so it took longer and it also caused me to get pulled over because I was confused because I didn't know where we were and wasn't paying attention to my speed, the cop said I was going 79 but I don't think I was going that fast, I would of felt it. Anyways, I got a warning for that but then the guy gave me a freaking "work" ticket because my GPS was in the middle of the windshield and apparently it can't be so i need to go to a Highway Patrol station to get it written off before I leave if not I have to go to court haha so stupid.

We got into Costa Mesa around 12:30 and met up with Stevie at the guys new place and went skating, then hung out and went to Rubys on HB pier, then we drove to Laguna Beach and tired to go to the "Top Of The World" but we we're almost there but couldn't find the path and the fog was getting gnarly so we dipped, after we checked out Laguna Beach High and Caleb and Eric marked their territory off a balcony to the ground below haha.

Today, Stevie, Caleb, Eric, Eggy, Zac, Carney, Mike a kid from Illnois and Carneys friend went skating at this 3 block, then after words, we ate at Lee's sandwiches that got me sick and then we check out this red 8 stair in Garden Grove, and then Stevie, Eric, Caleb and I went and hung out for awhile and got some food in Newport and lets just say we saw the beginning of Newport 4th of July party madness haha. Now Me, Eric and Caleb are chillin at our Motel for the night in Newport since we don't have a place to stay right now.

Welp here are some photos from the first day of the trip, 5 more days sooo sickkk!!! Look for more updates later.
