For the second part of my winter break, I went to Cali to visit Zac and to attend SD3.
I went Thursday Jan 1st- Monday the 5th.
I flew into Orange County around noon on Thursday, where Zac picked me up. Zac picked me up right when he got off work, and he smelt like a giant bagel, so we went back to the Bryan's (people who Zac was staying with at the time) where I met Jason and Lisa who are very nice people. After Zac charged his car battery we met up with Stephen, Sergio and Carney, we skated this wallride bank type thing where Carney was doing gnarly blunt slides on them. Then we went to get some food. Then went to Fullerton high to just mess around on this 2 flat thing because the sun was setting and we didn't know where esle to go. (Another reason why AZ is awesome because we don't have day light savings time, so it still gets dark at 5:30 and not 4:30 like it does in Cali.) After Carney destroys this 2 flat with a steez airwalk then behianna and then having some chick come up to us and asking me if I was stoner, we left and drove to Costa Mesa, then Zac took me to John's house in Diamond Bar/Pomona, we waiting for John to get home because we got to his house faster than John expected. He didn't know how Zac drives haha. Anyways, once John got home, I said bye to Zac since I was staying with John and he left, then me and John went and hung out with his neighbor and his friend's and by hanging out I mean shooting a potato gun off a couple times. That resulting in the Pomona Police Helicopter to fly over John's (nice) neighborhood because reports of gun fire haha. John lives in a nice neighborhood i'm not even kidding. John's neighbor and his friend left so me and John just chilled for the rest of the night, playing Rainbow 6 Vegas, and watching, Family Guy, Robot Chicken and Superjail. All are freaking sooo funny. Ended up going to bed late like always. If you stay at John's house you don't go to bed until 2am and wake up at noon.
The next day we picked up Kody at Scooter Zone in Riverside, then went to Big Chino where I froze my butt off, and had to watch my head because some dudes were playing softball and they were smacking the balls into skatepark. Guy's need to lay of the protein shakes. We pretty much were at Chino the whole day. When we finally got back to Diamond Bar we just hung out, watched tv, played more Rainbow 6, watched more Adult Swim and I myspaced haha.
Saturday morning we left early for San Diego for SD3, of course with my luck it rained, causing me to change my flight for later Sunday night because the contest was moved to Sunday and I had to fly out of Ontario (near Riverside) Sunday at 4, so I changed my flight to 8pm Sunday night. Anyways, Ali, Razor Team manager offered for us to stay in a hotel with them because John rides for Razor. So we ended up staying in SD instead of going back to Diamond Bar. It only rained in the morning, and it was dry around 2, so we went out spot hunting with Ron, Ali, Kody and John. We found this Condo place near the skatepark and found a bunch of little handrails and the biggest one we found was a 7 rail so we stopped and let Ron ride it. He was doing Boardslide whips on it
After we found this freaking huge gap. John was thinking of whipping it, but he got over it because he didn't want to screw up his foot anymore because when he came out to AZ in the beginning of December he broke it trying to flip the Union Hills spine. So we went back to the Hotel and chilled for a bit until we went and got some food, then picked up some people at the hotel and went to Chula Vista then went spot hunting, and we ended up finded a skate plaza thing, it was really random.
After that we went back to the hotel and just chilled for the rest of the night. We walked up to the shell station up the hill just to get some cards and some drinks and some crazy drunk Chargers fan tried fight everyone that was there, haha, the guy got his arse kicked by someone who he slapped while pumping gas, it was so funny. So after watching this fool get his butt kicked we went back to the hotel, played cards, watched tv and just chilled. It was fun, 1/3 of us were high, another 1/3 drunk and the other 1/3 are little of both. We took over the hotel, scooter riders every where, whether we were outside smoking, inside drinking or just riding in the parking lot. I think me, John and Kody were the only people sober. haha. So we ended up sharing a room with Ricky, Ricky's friend George, Jake, and KC. Me, John, Kody and Jake we're sleeping on the floor. We ended up going to bed around 2:30am, but that only lasted an hour or so because KC woke up puking at like 4am, I couldn't remember because I was half asleep. He must of threw up like 8 times in 2 hours because I guess KC had John go to the store like 4 times, I finally got used to the sound of him throwing up after like the 3rd time because after that I don't remember a thing. Me and Jake we're both lucky because we were sleeping on the side of KC's bed and you know how bad that could of turned out. So we barley got any sleep that night.
We woke up at 9am, got ready, checked out of the hotel and went to the park, there were a billion and kids there for the contest, Fox San Diego came out too. The contest was..well like any other scooter contest, stupid and drama filled, I didn't even take my scooter on this trip because the only reason I go on this is to shoot photos and hang out. My 2 highlights of the contest was during best trick and after. I don't know what they were thinking but Twan was trying to flair over Tanner while Tanner was doing a flip to fakie and it was crazy. Twan ate crap tho, he looped out on the flair and landed hip first right on top of the lip of the quarter and fell into the bowl, he was lucky he didn't break anything. And then my other highlight was Tyler when he flip tucked over a kicker up a step up.
After the contest we drove back to the OC/ Anaheim area, but we stopped at TGI fridays to get some food.

I ended up having to change my flight to Monday night because we left San Diego at 5 and there was no way I could make the flight. So Ali dropped me, John and Kody off at Razor and we went back to John's house and took a nice hour long dip in the hot tub, then played a lot of Rainbow 6 and watch Adult Swim.
The next day we spelt in until like one, then went to Big Chino again with Tanner and he just killed it.

After the Chino sesh I got dropped off at the airport and flew back home.
Kinda sucky because I had to go back to school the next day and I already missed a day but oh well.
It was a really fun trip. I've been back in AZ for two weeks and I already miss Cali a lot.
Going back in Feb for my bday, pumped.
Well i'll might post a update sometime this weekend.
